Shaftless Screw Conveyors for Treatment Plant Residuals

Overview

Shaftless screw conveyors are used in sewage treatment plants to transport materials such as decontamination machine grid slag and filter press mud cake with a net distance of 50mm in the fine grid of the sewage treatment plant.

Challenge

The dewatered sludge cake shall be transported to the sludge transporter by the sludge shaftless screw conveyor, and then transported to the sludge waste landfill for landfill treatment.

Solution

Dahan’s technical experts recommend installing a shaftless screw conveyor made of stainless steel. The advantages are as follows:

1. The sludge has many impurities and strong viscosity. The shaftless design can effectively prevent the material from clogging;

2. The material is polluting, and the fully enclosed conveying method is adopted to reduce material leakage.

3. The conveying length can reach 60 meters, and the conveying capacity is 1.5 times that of the traditional shaft screw conveyor with the same diameter.

Note: When the water content of the material is greater than 80%, the conveying inclination angle should be ≤25°
